Develop the Creativity Within

Why go out and buy a print for $30.00 ~ $100.00(s) of dollars when you could have a wonderful, original art piece created by your child?  (I know they are desireable, I get asked if they are for sale!)  With a little thought and time your art piece will look wonderful and you will have original artwork in your home.

Here are some suggestions for framing your student’s artwork:

  • Artwork is enhanced when placed in a mat and frame.
  • Begin looking for frames now, Target, Goodwill, Michaels, (always use a coupon) TJ Max all have frames.  With a purchased piece you already have the mat, frame, glass and hangar!
  • If you find a frame with a picture in it already, take out the picture and add your own.
  • Choose frames of all one color.  This gives the artwork a cohesive look.
  • Artwork looks good with a white or off-white mat.
  • Most of the artwork we do is a standard size, so a standard frame will work.

I hope these suggestions help.  Our 8th Annual Young Artists Show will be coming in April, and I know your artist is proud and tickled to see their  work up.

Artfully,

Karen
